Ekopak donated 51 containers for separate packaging waste collecting to the Public Utility Service Company “Komunalac” Orašje
Today, on the premises of “Komunalac” in Orašje, a handover ceremony for 51 containers for separate packaging waste collecting (paper, glass, plastic-metal-composite material) to the Public Utility Service “Komunalac” in order to establish long-term sustainable system of packaging waste sorting and recycling in the Orašje Municipality. The containers are going to be arranged in schools, shopping centres and neighborhoods in the Orašje Municipality.
The handover ceremony was attended by Amela Hrbat, general manager of Ekopak, Pero Baotić, assistant to the Oršje Municipality major and Ahmet Nurispahić , general manager of the Public Utility Service “Komunalac”.
One of the key factors of a successful establishment of the separate packaging waste collecting and recycling is a local community, thus Ekopak, through investing in local communities, creates conditions in our country for the system modelled on the most successful European systems to be established. Apart from the provided containers, Ekopak is going to participate in educational and promotional campaigns and it will also arrange that all the packaging waste in Orašje is handed for recycling.
Pero Baotić, assistant to the Oršje Municipality major of economics and infrastructure, at the handover ceremony stressed out the importance of the separate packaging waste collecting infrastructure setting for the further development of the Orašje Municipality.
After the procurement and putting into operation of the necessary infrastructure, Ekopak also initiates promotion of the separate packaging waste disposal and the youngest citizens will soon be involved in the educational projects of Ekopak, “Planet’s Smile is in Your Hands” and “Recycling is not a Hustle”.
