Ekopak, the first authorized system operator of packaging and packaging waste management, in accordance with the Article 21 of the Ordinance on packaging and packaging waste management, on March 31, 2014 has submitted the Annual report on packaging and packaging waste management in 2013 to the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism and Environmental Fund of the FBiH. 

 More than 400 producers, importers, fillers/packers, distributers and final retailers/merchants has trusted us and conveyed their legal obligations on us. 

Through public utility service companies and collecting companies in our system, we have collected and handed over for recycling more than 7000 tons of packaging waste by which we have fulfilled the annual target of 13% for packaging waste recovery and recycling. 

For less than two years of our operational work, we have implemented a number of activities and realized a number of projects aiming at strengthening capacities for separate packaging waste collecting and recycling – from cooperation with local communities to educational projects for the young population.

These facts are evidence that Ekopak, despite the unfavorable socio-economic situation in the country, is establishing a European system of packaging waste management.
