Recognition for Ekopak on the Occasion of the 30th Anniversary of the Liberation Day of Ključ Municipality
At the ceremonial session of the Municipal Council, held to mark the 30th anniversary of the Liberation Day and the Day of Ključ Municipality, an award was presented to Ekopak’s Director, Amela Hrbat.
This award represents recognition of the long-standing successful cooperation between Ekopak, the Public Utility Company “Rad” Ključ, and the Municipality of Ključ, through which a system for the selective disposal of packaging waste and its preparation for recycling was established and developed.
More than a Decade of Cooperation
The cooperation between Ekopak, PUC “Rad” Ključ, and the Municipality of Ključ has been ongoing since 2014, when the foundations of the packaging waste management system were laid in this local community. Over the years, significant material resources have been provided, necessary infrastructure acquired, and continuous support ensured in the collection, sorting, and preparation of packaging waste for recycling. Thanks to these efforts, the amount of municipal waste ending up at the local landfill has been significantly reduced.
Award Ceremony and Key Projects
At the ceremony, attended by numerous guests, military commanders, and delegations from across Bosnia and Herzegovina, the municipal mayor, Jasmin Musić, emphasized the importance of a number of projects being implemented in Ključ, including the soon-to-be-opened recycling yard. By awarding Ekopak, received by Director Amela Hrbat, the partnership with PUC “Rad” Ključ in developing a sustainable waste management system was particularly highlighted.
Gratitude and Continuation of Cooperation
Ekopak Director, Amela Hrbat, expressed her gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing that it belongs to everyone who has dedicatedly worked on establishing an efficient packaging waste recycling system in Ključ.
“Our partnership with PUC Rad Ključ has lasted for more than a decade, and we are proud of the results we have achieved together. This recognition is an additional motivation to continue with projects that contribute to reducing municipal waste, increasing the recycling rate, and developing the local community,” said Hrbat.
