To mark Earth Day, Ekopak and PUC Tomislavgrad organized an educational and promotional event in the center of Tomislavgrad titled “Packaging for a Flower – Let’s Make the World Beautiful Again!”, aimed at raising awareness about the importance of packaging waste recycling and environmental protection.

Visitors who brought three pieces of any type of packaging and disposed of them in the appropriate waste bins received a flower as a gift — a symbol of environmental protection, which is enabled, among other things, through the proper disposal and recycling of packaging waste. During the event, Ekopak representatives distributed educational and promotional materials to all interested citizens, while the youngest visitors received illustrated picture books and brochures adapted to their age group, because education starts at an early age.

We are especially pleased that the event attracted a large number of school children, who brought a significant amount of packaging waste. Thanks to their efforts, approximately 600 kilograms of packaging waste was collected during the event and will be sent for recycling.

Earth Day, celebrated every year on April 22nd, is a global opportunity to reflect on our responsibility towards the environment and to recognize the everyday habits we can change to support a healthier planet.
