As part of its plans, the company has handed over 100 new containers to KJKP Rad Sarajevo, which will be used to create an additional 50 eco-islands across the canton.
The installation of new eco-islands will enable the separate disposal of packaging waste, directly improving the waste management infrastructure in Sarajevo Canton.

All Collected Waste Will Be Recycled

Ekopak will ensure that all packaging waste collected in these containers, sorted and prepared by KJKP Rad, is directed into the recycling process. This initiative reduces the amount of packaging waste that would otherwise end up as mixed municipal waste at the Smiljevići landfill.

Contribution to the Circular Economy

This project marks another significant step toward the development of a recycling system and circular economy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, enabling the reuse of raw materials and reducing environmental impact.
