The National TV team (BHRT) visited office of Ekopak today, where they spoke with Director Amela Hrbat about the packaging waste recycling system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, achievements of Ekopak so far, and plans for the future.

The reason for visit of BHRT was their coverage of PUC Rad Ključ, where representatives of this municipal company highlighted their excellent cooperation with Ekopak and the progress made in recent years in developing infrastructure for separate waste collection and packaging waste recycling.

Amela Hrbat, Director of Ekopak, emphasized on this occasion:

“We are proud of the results we achieve together with local communities and municipal companies like PUC Rad Ključ. This collaboration demonstrates how important on-the-ground support is to ensure that as much packaging waste as possible is recycled instead of ending up in landfills. Ključ is certainly one of those exemplary local communities.”

The TV feature being prepared by BHRT besides the interview at Ekopak will also include footage from Ključ, showcasing best practices in implementing a recycling system at the local level.

Ekopak remains committed to its goal—building a sustainable packaging waste recycling system, reducing municipal waste in landfills, and raising environmental awareness in society. We thank the Team of the National TV team (BHRT) for their interest in this important topic and look forward to new opportunities to contribute together to the development of a circular economy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
