The conference was organized with the aim of sharing experiences, identifying challenges, and finding best practices to improve the waste management system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ekopak, as the first PRO in BiH, was an active participant in this significant event. Particularly notable was the discussion by Ekopak's director, Amela Hrbat, delivered on the second day of the conference. Director Hrbat spoke about experiences of Ekopak in establishing and developing the system for collecting and recycling packaging waste in the country, as well as the challenges Ekopak faced during this process. Through examples of successful projects implemented in collaboration with local communities and utility companies, she showcased a model that contributes to reducing landfill waste and increasing recycling rates.

The conference provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and open new possibilities for improving infrastructure, educating citizens, and implementing a circular economy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ekopak remains committed to enhancing the packaging waste management system, contributing to sustainable development, and fostering the growth of the circular economy.
