A contract was signed at the Ekopak premises on the further development of the system of separate collection of packaging waste and its preparation for recycling in the city of Bihać.

The contract was signed by Komrad Director Mehura Selimović and Ekopak Director Amela Hrbat.

This contract provides for the purchase of a horizontal press machine that will significantly improve the preparation of various packaging materials for the recycling process. Ekopak has committed to co-financing the purchase, thus continuing to support the development and strengthening of the packaging waste management infrastructure in Bihać.

 The cooperation between Ekopak and Komrad has been ongoing since 2013, and significant progress has been made in separating packaging waste from mixed municipal waste over the past years. Thanks to this cooperation, the amount of waste ending up in the local landfill has been significantly reduced.

 This success is the result of the vision and dedication of Komrad's management, who recognized the importance of introducing a system for the separate collection of packaging waste, and the continuous support of Ekopak, which ensures that all collected packaging waste is sent for recycling.

 Ekopak and PUC Komrad Bihać continue to work together on developing sustainable solutions in the field of waste management, contributing to environmental protection and a better quality of life for the citizens of Bihać.
