Last week, Ekopak participated in the conference "Waste - A Resource for Circular Economy Development," held in Belgrade.

This significant event, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Federation BiH in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, gathered more than 100 participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and North Macedonia.

The conference provided a platform for exchanging knowledge, experiences, and best practices in waste management and the development of the circular economy. Participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina included representatives of the Federal Ministry of Environment and the Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of BiH, emphasizing the importance of regional cooperation in this field.

One of the key panels was titled "Public-Private Partnership: An Opportunity to Improve the Quality of Municipal Infrastructure and Public Services, with a Special Focus on Municipal Waste."  Director of Ekopak, Amela Hrbat, was a panelist, highlighting the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors in development a sustainable waste management system. The panel was moderated by Ms. Edita Kalajdžić, Secretary of the Government of the Federation of BiH, ensuring a constructive discussion and exchange of ideas on improving infrastructure and efficiency in waste management.

Role of Ekopak at the conference further affirmed its commitment to promoting the packaging waste recycling system in BiH, sustainable solutions, and the development of the circular economy in the region. We continue to work on implementing innovative practices and ensuring sustainable development to improve the quality of life and environmental protection in Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond.
