Recently, the OREA Art Market was held at Hotel Inn in Sarajevo, attracting a large number of visitors.

Ekopak supported this event by organizing educational and creative workshops for children, where the little ones learned about the importance of recycling through play. Additionally, Ekopak provided bins for collecting cardboard and paper, while Tomra provided a vending machine for PET bottle collection.

During the event, approximately 700 PET bottles and 11 kg of paper (10 kg of cardboard and 1 kg of paper cups) were collected. Recycling these 700 bottles will save enough energy to power a household light bulb for 4,000 hours, while recycling 11 kg of paper will save more than 40 kWh of energy, which is roughly the amount of energy an average household uses in two days.

The collected packaging waste was handed over to KJKP Rad, which will prepare it for recycling at the Smiljevići sorting facility. Ekopak will ensure that the waste reaches the recycling process. The handover at the recycling yard was attended by Senita Slipac from OREA Art Market, Maida Čukojević from KJKP Rad, and Amela Hrbat from Ekopak.
