Last weekend Ekopak organized a promotional campaign in the Ilidža municipality to remind citizens of the importance of separating glass packaging waste and disposing of it properly.

In previous years waste bins for glass packaging disposal were installed in Ilidža as part of the regional project "Glass Packaging Management in Western Balkan Countries." Therefore, it was necessary to remind citizens of the principles of separated waste collection and proper disposal.

A stand of Ekopak was set up on Mala Aleja street, where activists distributed informational and educational materials. Special focus was placed on HORECA chanel to raise awareness among owners and staff about the proper disposal of glass packaging. Some caffes and hotels were already familiar with work of Ekopak and had informational stickers, while others gladly accepted promo materials.

In addition to these activities, the team of Ekopak visited residential buildings in Ilidža and the neighborhoods of Lužani, Peyton, and Otes, distributing leaflets in mailboxes or posting them on bulletin boards.

This all-day campaign, during which approximately 3,000 leaflets were distributed, received a positive response from the public.
