State television journalists talked with Ekopak abot packaging waste collection during SFF
The team of State television journalists visited Ekopak to talk with director Amela Hrbat about the packaging waste collection and recycling during the Sarajevo Film Festival.
This year, as in previous years, Ekopak will support Coca-Cola in collecting packaging waste during one of the most significant cultural events in the region.
Namely, Ekopak plays an important role in the implementation of the project "Recycle Me. Give Me a New Life," which plans to install special containers at the busiest locations in the center of Sarajevo so that the numerous visitors to our capital can dispose their packaging waste in an environmentally responsible way.
The team of State TV BHT1 was particularly interested in the plans related to the collection of packaging waste. In an interview with Director Amela Hrbat, they learned that Ekopak's partner, KJKP Rad Sarajevo, is responsible to collect packaging waste which citizens and visitors of Sarajevo will dispose of in special containers and transport to the Smiljevići sorting facility, where it will be sorted by type: plastic, paper, metal, and glass. Ekopak will ensure that all these quantities are recycled.
In addition to Coca-Cola's containers, Ekopak and KJKP Rad Sarajevo will pay special attention to collecting glass packaging waste from HORECA, for which Ekopak has provided special bags and bins.
