Up to this point, within the joint financed project by Ekopak, Gračanica Municipality and Public Utility Service Komus was set eight eco-islands and all eight are available for paper and plastic packaging waste disposal, and the five of the eco-island support disposing of the glass packaging waste.

The plan is to have eight more eco islands installed in the Gračanica Municipality, which means that in the urban area of ​​the Municipality will be installed sixteen eco-island, while the packaging waste from the peripheral zone is collected  through eco-bags.

The focus of the activities in the upcoming period will be education of the Gračanica Municipality citizens about the importance of the separate packaging waste disposal in order for the eco-islands to be completely functional.
