Ekopak planted a row of friendship trees in Banja Luka: Mayor Draško Stanivuković and managing director of Ekopak Amela Hrbat planted the first tree
As part of marking ten years of successful business, the first and leading operator of packaging waste management system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ekopak is carrying out an afforestation campaign throughout our country.
In Banja Luka along Živojin Mišić Boulevard a row of friendship trees was planted and the ceremony of planting beautiful red maples was attended by the representatives of Ekopak, the mayor of Banja Luka, Draško Stanivuković as well as students of primary school Branko Ćopić, secondary school Gimnazija Banja Luka and numerous Ekopak clients from Banja Luka.
With presence of a large number of media representatives the honor of planting the first tree of friendship went to the managing director of Ekopak, Amela Hrbat and the mayor of Banja Luka, Draško Stanivuković, who said on the occasion:
"On behalf of the city, as well as on my own behalf, I want to thank Ekopak, who by donating these beautiful trees greatly beautified our city" Stanivuković said.
"This row of friendship trees has a really strong and positive symbolism for all of us. Ekopak celebrates ten years of successful work this year. We didn't want to make any celebrations, but we directed that budget towards reforestation in the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina. One of the cities on our list is Banja Luka and we are glad that with this row of friendship trees we will greatly contribute to a healthier environment of this beautiful city", said the managing director of Ekopak Amela Hrbat and on this occasion she thanked the mayor and the employees of his cabinet for the warm welcome.
