Ekopak continues to invest in the development of packaging waste recycling system
Ekopak, as the first and leading operator of the packaging waste management system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, has been working for ten years on investing in the development of the packaging waste recycling system in the Federation of BiH.
In the previous period, Ekopak helped the public utility company "Komrad" from Bihać in the purchase of a special truck for collecting packaging waste. PUC "Komrad" recently opened a modern recycling yard, which was partly financed by Ekopak. This infrastructure will greatly improve the work of this utility company, which has been achieving excellent results in the collection of packaging waste for years.
Thanks to co-financing from Ekopak, utility company "Duga" from Široki Brijeg also successfully acquired a shredder for shredding plastic and paper and company "Ladanušić Čistoća" from Posušje is also richer for shredding glass packaging waste machine.
All mentioned companies are long-term partners in the packaging waste management system in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ekopak owes gratitude for such successful cooperation for quality and prosperous work that has lasted for ten years.
"We are happy that our story and partnership has been successfully realized for many years. Ekopak is systematically working on projects and initiatives to co-finance infrastructure that improves the packaging waste management system, which is one of the important missions of our company. In addition, quality partnerships with these cities and municipalities can serve as a model for future projects and success stories for the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina" said Amela Hrbat, managing director of Ekopak.
Everyday initiatives and significant advances in the field of environmental awareness and awareness of the importance of packaging waste recycling are indicators that B&H society is on an excellent path towards the development of a system modeled on good practices from the countries of the EU region. As in the previous ten years, Ekopak will continue its role as a leader on that path, supporting such and similar stories.
