The overall goal of our project "Recycle - profit" stemmed from the very vision of the Waste Management Strategy of FBiH, and relates to improving the environment and further preventing the deterioration of the environment in FBiH and in ZDK. This goal is the responsibility of the community, and it cannot be achieved if it is not shared with all community actors. The specific goal of the project is aimed at introducing and educating young people on establishing standards in the collection, sorting and placement of packaging in the waste management system at the Zenica Youth Center.
We invite everyone interested to join us.
About the World Environment Education Day - 26.01.
The Declaration on World Environmental Education Day was adopted in 1972 at the United Nations Conference in Stockholm, emphasizing the importance of environmental education, the need to create common principles and criteria that will be offered to all mankind as inspiration in preservation and improvement of the environment.
Environmental education is a dynamic and participatory process that aims to awaken in people an awareness that allows environmental problems to be identified, seeks to identify the link and independence of interactions that occur between the environment and man and also seeks to promote a harmonious relationship between natural and human activities through sustainable development, all to ensure the sustainability and quality of present and future generations.
Some of the main points of the declaration are:
- Man is the creator of his environment where he invests his intellectual, moral, social and spiritual strength;
- In the evolution of man on this planet, thanks to the rapid progress of science and technology, man has gained the power to transform environment in countless ways and on an unprecedented scale;
- Two aspects of the human environment, natural and artificial, are necessary for human well-being and the enjoyment of basic human rights, including the right to life itself.
