In an emergency Covid situation Ekopak and its partners manage to maintain the packaging waste recycling system
The emergency situation caused by corona virus pandemic has caused numerous negative consequences in economy of our country and also affected the companies within recycling industry.
Although in difficult working conditions, Ekopak as the first operator of packaging waste management system in BiH in cooperation with its business partners manage to keep packaging waste recycling chain in the FBiH operational and functional.
"Through our daily work, we follow the instructions of the competent authorities and take all other measures to protect our business and the established packaging waste management system in the Federation of BiH. Our partners within the network of more than 20 collectors of all types of packaging waste from all ten cantons in the Federation of BiH collect packaging waste and transport it for recycling on a daily basis. Of course, all this is done in reduced capacities, but we manage to maintain the system", said Amela Hrbat, Ekopak Managing director and added that this situation is a great challenge in regard of achieving defined goals set for packaging waste recycling this year.
"We believe that in these circumstances it is extremely important to preserve the established system of collecting and recycling of packaging waste in our country," said Hrbat and pointed out that "Ekopak" is available on daily basis to its customers, manufacturers, importers, distributors and end suppliers for all inquiries with hope that through joint effort, even in this difficult conditions, cooperation and further developmet the of our system will be continued.
