CEO of the altruist NGO „Svjetlo“, Haris Čaušević, pointed out that the primary objective of the action is to develop a pleasant ambience in the park as well as to, by their own example, rise awareness of the citizens about the citizen activism and to be educational to the members of our society. It is also imortant to show to the public that the young intellectually chalanged people are valuable members of the society.

Apart from the altruist NGO „Svjetlo“ members, Ekopak and employees of the Old Town Municipality, many volunteers deliberately joined the action prooving that citizens have strong will to act on their own within their own municiplaities as well as on the level of the whole city.

Ekopak supports cleaning actions and sees them exclusively as a part of its promotional activities, and not as a practice that divides our citizens on unaware, who dispose the garbage where it should not be disposed, and aware ones, who are going to organize within themselves and thus clean the disposed waste. We all need to be aware to dispose our waste on the predetermined locations, and when the right conditions are set, to separate it so it could be reused and recycled.
