High-rated population, lack of strategic approach to development, and negative conscious of citizens about importance of enviroment preservation, have resulted with trend of increasing level of pollution and labeling Sarajevo as a city with the most polluted air in entire Europe.

Regarding to this, in Sarajevo was held the first one-day ,,Platform for low-carbon urban development of Sarajevo canton'' in organization of Association ''Energis'', with support of Ministry of education, science and youth of Sarajevo canton and proffesional lecturers.

On this occasion experts had a chance to change expert opinions and analyzes about momentary situation in Sarajevo canton, and to suggest some inovative sollutions for low-carobn urban development.

At conferency attended the president of Ekopak Amela Hrbat, who said on this occasion: ,,Ekopak salutes every initiative that has for aim to improve conditions of enviroment preservation and life quality of each citizen. For this reason we were happy to answer the call of Association ‘’Energis’’ to attend at this event. We had a chance to hear a lot of useful expert opinions and initiatives , and in future period we will create together a list of recommendations of suggestions for low-carbon urban development of Sarajevo canton that will be delivered to proper authorities in canton.’’
