Currently, there is a campaign of collecting sorted package material waste, packaging waste and E-waste through containers installed by the operator EKOPAK and ZEOS Eco-System. 

The Center for Environmentally Sustainable Development (COOR) Sarajevo is implementing a project named ‘'Together – little and big watchers of enviroment in the muniipality Centar'', from September 2018 to June 2019. The project is approved within the Regional Local Democracy Program in the Western Balkans - ReLOaD, funded by the European Union, and implemented by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in partnership with the Municipality of Centar.

Currently, there is a campaign of selective collection of packaging, packaging waste and E-waste through containers installed by the operator EKOPAK and ZEOS Eco-System. The pots were placed in 5 schools: Elementary School Safvet-beg Bašagić, Elementary School Hasan Kikić, Elementary School Silvija Strahimir Kranjčević, Elementary School Nafija Sarajlić and Elementary School Alija Nametak. The campaign lasts until May 20, 2019.

The goal of the campaign is to contribute, through the activism of citizens and schools, to the selective collection of packaging and E-waste, to increase awareness and to increase citizens' awareness of environmental protection in the Municipality of Centar.

The World Recycling Day is celebrated on March 18, 2019. Marking the World Recycling Day aims to change the awareness of governments, businesses, local communities, the media and individuals around the world, and provides assistance to see recyclable material as a raw material, not as a waste.

We invite citizens of the Municipality of Centar to join the marking of the World Recycling Day and to selectively collect the waste in one of the 5 primary schools in the period from 9 am to 3 pm. Selected packaging and E-waste can be made every working day in 5 schools, in the same period until May 20, 2019.
