Kakanj, September 25, 2017. - The strategic part of the Cement Factory Kakanj is a social responsibility and concern for environmental protection. Therefore, in everyday business, this company uses high standards and modern technologies that are in line with European standards, for which are allocated significant financial resources.

The fact that the Cement Factory Kakanj joined the Ekopak's Green Dot System for the recycling and recovery of packaging waste since the very beginning of the implementation of the Ordinance on Packaging Waste management, directly contributes to the establishment of the Recycling System in local communities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ekopak delivered the set of bins for the separate disposal of packaging waste in the factory's area, allowing employees to separately dispose packaging waste that will be transported to the recycling and recovery process. Employees will be educated about the proper disposal of packaging waste, as part of their regular training in Factory, and recycling will reduce the amount of waste that ends up at the landfills.
