Vogosca, 06.05.2017. - On the occasion of Earth Day, there was held the 7th consecutive cleaning action "Clean and beautiful Vogosca Municipality". It was originally planned for 22th April, but was postponed to 6th May because of the bad weather conditions. The aim of this action is to show citizens the importance of the separate packaging waste disposal and to raise awareness of the importance of environmental protection.

The students of schools and kindergartens from Vogosca Municipality decorated and cleaned their school yards as a part of a preliminary activities. The members of sports clubs, associations, citizens and students participated in this cleaning action. Participants carried out the cleaning action at fifteen locations in all eight local communities. Members of the environmental clubs from schools in Vogosca Municipality planted around 1.500 seedlings.

Vogosca Municipality is one of the socially responsible municipalities that joined Ekopak's Green Dot System for recovery and recycling of packaging waste. Ekopak financed the procurement of seven eco-islands that are established in different locations in the Municipality. That is why citizens of Municipality have opportunity to dispose separately the packaging waste which is generated in households. Ekopak supports the organization of the manifestation "Clean and Beautiful Vogosca Municipality" for the 6th consecutive year, in which participates more than 1.000 citizens. On this way Ekopak promotes the System for separate collection and disposal of packaging waste, which is building in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the support of the Bosnian companies.
