Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a decision imposing financial fines to the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism since the publication of the Regulations Repealing Ordinance on packaging and packaging waste prevent restricted and distorted competition in the market of packaging and packaging waste on the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Ministry is obliged to a financial fine of 21,000 KM to pay eight days from receipt of this Decision. The Ministry is also obliged to reimburse the costs of the proceedings to Ekopak.
The procedure is initiated at the
request of Ekopak who stood up to protect the interests of its business, as
well as the interests of its clients.
The Federal Ministry of
Environment and Tourism is administrative body that issued the disputed
Ordinance, and to whom in accordance with Article 2, paragraph (1) item b) of
the Act apply the provisions of the same, when their actions directly or indirectly
participate in or influence on the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
