Sarajevo, 27. 5. 2015 - In the framework of the agreed partnership Ekopak will, at this year's Sarajevo Beer Festival taking place from 29 to 31 May, enable the public to properly dispose packaging waste in special bins and thus contribute to raising awareness about the importance of recycling and environmental protection.

Colored beans for the proper disposal of packaging waste will be placed in front of the tent of socially responsible companies Carlsberg and Banjalučka pivara. Those companies are included in the system of separate collection and recycling of packaging waste in BiH, over Ekopak.

Ekopak will have promotional team at the Sarajevo Beer Festival. The team will visit the site and enable proper disposal of empty cans and plastic bottles during the evening concerts.

Packaging waste that will be gathered during the festival Ekopak will hand over for the recycling and reuse process.

"In this way we want to educate visitors of Beer Festival on the importance of preserving the environment, proper disposal of packaging waste and to increase awareness of the need for recycling among the urban population. Also, through the co-branding activities with socially responsible companies Carlsberg and Banjalučka pivara we want to motivate other packaging companies to get involved in the Ekopak system and demonstrate social responsibility for packaging waste that occurs after consumption of their products," said Samra Jažić, Expert Sales and Communications Associate from Ekopak.
