Infrastructure for the establishment of five eco-islands delivered to Olovo Municipality
On January 15th 2015 in Olovo Municipality an infrastructure handover ceremony took place for the establishment of five eco-islands. By signing a cooperation contract between Olovo Municipality, PUC “Bioštica” from Olovo and Ekopak, the Olovo Municipality joins the Green Dot System, which means, that collected packaging waste will be sorted and prepared for recycling.
With a presence of representatives of the contractors and media, Ekopak handed over 15 waste bins for selective disposal of packaging waste.
Ekopak is also financing the construction of the recycling yard, where collected packaging waste will be sorted and prepared for recycling. The construction has already started.
Currently, there are 12 municipalities in Ekopaks’ system: Bihać, Gračanica, Orašje, Donji Vakuf, Kladanj, Ključ, Olovo, Breza, Vitez, Novi Travnik and Vogošća and the number of municipalities in the system is increasing daily.
We invite all business entities to meet their legal obligations through system of Ekopak - first authorized recovery organization, and at that way ensure the establishment of transparent, sustainable, long-term and efficient system modeled on the systems that have been established in other states, members of PRO EUROPE.
